Journey with the Medicine Wheel

A series of four workshops throughout the year will offer medicine wheel teachings as well as guided meditation and ceremony to help you become aware and connected to the spiritual attributes of each season.

Our next workshop will be celebrating the Summer Solstice!

Saturday, June 19, 2-4 pm
Cost: $25.00
Be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot.

We will focus on the South direction of the Medicine Wheel, honoring the Summer Solstice and learn the symbolic meanings and special attributes of the season. By applying these teachings in our everyday lives, we can become open to the gifts that creation has to show us and connect at a deeper more meaningful level with nature. With constant change and flux in our lives, our journey includes the strengths, weaknesses, challenges and lessons within all parts of the wheel. The spiritual pathways on the wheel hold all the qualities that lead back to our source, helping to enlarge and enrich our lives. The workshop will include a meditation and intentional ceremony to expand your spiritual and personal growth during the spring. Please bring a journal.

Lab Opal

Lab created opal is geologically identical to opal found in nature. It is not "imitation" but pure gem silica that has been grown in a laboratory setting. Aside from our large selection of southwestern & Native American jewelry, we carry the contemporary look of Lab Opal with Amethyst, Tanzanite and Blue Topaz CZ rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces & bracelets. Stop into Dakota Expressions to see our selection of Lab Opal jewelry soon.

Tibetan Singing Bowls

According to Tibetan oral history, singing bowls date back over 2000 years. Using mixed metals, the bowls are hand-hammered into different sizes, creating their different sounds. The bowl is used by placing it on the open palm of one hand, and with the other hand, a wooden stick is moved around the outside rim to produce its vibration. Tibetan Singing Bowls produce sounds which invoke a deep state of relaxation which naturally assists one in entering into meditation. Singing Bowls are also used for holistic healing, stress reduction & Chakra balancing. Singing Bowls are available at Earth & Spirit (located above Dakota Expressions).
